About me
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at UCR. I obtained my PhD in Economics from Ghent University, where I also served as a postdoctoral researcher. My research spans public economics and institutional economics. Specifically, I examine public sector efficiency and procurement practices, employing advanced econometric methods and large datasets. My work is disseminated through publications and presentations at various international conferences. Additionally, I have been invited for research stays at institutes such as the Stockholm School of Economics and the ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research. I was awarded a research grant from the National Bank of Belgium. Throughout my academic career, I have gained experience teaching economics to students from diverse backgrounds. I am dedicated to conducting impactful research and fostering an academic environment where students engage deeply with economic theories and develop strong analytical skills.
