What is a multidisciplinary study?
The term Multidisciplinary studies refers to the study of more than one academic discipline or profession. It means studying a combination of the regular disciplines. A multidisciplinary studies program like the one offered at University College Roosevelt, gives you the opportunity to design your own bachelor program that fits your individual interests and career objectives. In addition to offering multiple focus areas, the study also provides a number of fundamental skills such as critical thinking, interpersonal and intercultural skills. These skills will help you succeed in almost any field.
Bachelor of multidisciplinary studies
When designing their own bachelor of multidisciplinary studies, students normally focus on two to three related fields of study, resulting in combinations such as Politics, Law, and Economics (major: Social Sciences); History, Literature, and Antiquity (major: Arts & Humanities); or Earth & Environmental Science and Biology (major: Science). However, there are many more combinations possible. Some students have even chosen interdomain combinations such as Law and Life Science; Mathematics and Music and Literature and Cognitive Science.
