History
History
Part of the Government & Society cluster.

History is all about exploring the forces, stories, and struggles that have shaped our world. You will learn to think critically about the past through diverse perspectives, engaging with topics like warfare, gender, Native American histories, and political revolutions. Along the way, you also develop research skills and historical insight that help you make sense of today’s world.
Opening up History courses
You can start exploring History by taking any of the available 100-level courses, as they do not require a gateway. For the 200 and 300-levels the gateway course called Thinking Across Disciplines: Dilemmas in Understanding the Social World is mandatory.
