About me
About me
I am an assistant professor at UCR. I received my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse (USA) in 2004. I then moved from my home country to Germany and completed a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Universität Bremen in 2006. In 2014 I obtained my Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Universität Bremen. There I researched two Type VI Secretion Systems of a grass endophyte. Over the years I have found that my passion lies in teaching and assisting students to become confident, competent scientists in and out of the laboratory. Here at UCR I enjoy being surrounded by the diverse student body and admire how the faculty and staff foster the individual needs of each student.
