About me
I am an instructor at UCR. An historian by training with a BA in Modern History from Queens University Belfast, a Research MA in Political Culture and National Identities from Leiden University, and a PhD from Leiden University and the Roosevelt Institute of American Studies. My historical interests include, but are by no means limited to, intellectual history, empire, international and transnational institutions and movements, nationalism and national identities, U.S., European, and global history.

I recently completed my PhD with a dissertation entitled: Foreign Yet Domestic Liberties: The Imperial Imaginary of the ACLU and the U.S. Colonial Empire, 1920-1941. I am currently developing further research emanating my PhD dissertation relating to empire and civil liberties.
