Business & Economics Pathway
Business & Economics Pathway
Your route to
- Business
- Economics
- Entrepreneurship
- Leadership
If you are drawn to business, economics, entrepreneurship, or leadership, the Business & Economics Pathway gives you a strong academic foundation in economic thinking, organizational studies, finance, and global business. You explore how markets work, how organizations create value, and how economic principles inform strategic decisions in a rapidly changing world.
Pathways: not a separate program or a fixed bachelor track, but a way to guide your course choices within UCR’s flexible curriculum.
You follow courses such as Introduction to Economics, Econometrics, Public Economics, Foundations of Business, Marketing & Consumer Engagement, Strategy & Digital Transformation, and International Business & Governance. Depending on your interests, you can strengthen your analytical profile through data-oriented courses or focus more on strategic, organizational, and legal dimensions of business.
Throughout the pathway, you develop skills in economic reasoning, data interpretation, strategic analysis, and cross-cultural communication. Small-scale teaching and UCR’s interdisciplinary approach encourage you to connect business and economics to political, social, technological, and/or ethical questions.
This pathway prepares you for competitive master’s programs in business, economics, management, and finance, and for careers in consulting, international business, public policy, and data-driven decision-making.
