University College Roosevelt recognized as a Top-rated Program in the Keuzegids 2027
University College Roosevelt (UCR) has been awarded the Top-rated Program distinction in the Keuzegids Universities 2027. With an overall score of 4.5 out of 5 stars, UCR ranks among the highest-rated bachelor’s programs in the Netherlands. UCR is also one of eleven bachelor’s programs at Utrecht University, which received the best broad university distinction itself, to be awarded this special recognition.
This recognition is a wonderful acknowledgement of the quality of education at UCR and the dedication of the people who work hard to deliver it every day. The results demonstrate that the efforts of academic and administrative staff, who work together with and for students, are being recognized and appreciated. It is an achievement that the entire UCR community can be proud of.
What makes this result particularly special is the consistency of UCR’s scores across the key assessment categories. Students rate the content of the study program, the quality of teaching, and assessment as good to very good. This also takes student progression into account. On average, 81% of students who start their studies at UCR go on to complete their degree. This reflects positive student progression and study success, which are also reflected in the results of the Nationale Studenten Enquête (NSE). This broad recognition highlights the strength of UCR’s educational approach: small-scale, personalized and interdisciplinary education that gives students the freedom to explore and combine their own academic interests.
“At UCR, students are given the freedom to explore their own academic interests. It is wonderful to see that they value our small-scale and personal approach to education.”
The Keuzegids Universities is based on the NSE, in which students from universities across the Netherlands share their experiences of their programs. The survey assesses various aspects, including the quality of teaching and facilities, program content, assessment, and progression to the second year. The Top-rated Program distinction is awarded to programs that achieve an overall score of at least 75 index points.
