Your voice, your community, your impact
Your voice, your community, your impact
Life at UCR is shaped not just by what happens in the classroom, but by the students who help run the campus itself. Through our student boards, you have the chance to lead, influence, and co-create your own university experience. Whether you’re organizing events, advocating for academic improvements, or helping shape your housing environment, your ideas and energy make a real difference here.

RASA – Roosevelt’s All Student Association
RASA – Roosevelt’s All Student Association
At the center of student life is RASA, the Roosevelt’s All Student Association. Every UCR student is automatically a member, and that means you’re immediately part of something bigger. RASA supports over 20 student-run societies, from music and sports to politics, sustainability, and cultural events. Whether you want to host a film festival, start a poetry night, play volleyball, or volunteer for a good cause, RASA is here to help you bring it to life. The RASA board provides funding, promotion, and the practical tools to make your ideas happen. It’s one of the main reasons UCR feels so alive, week after week. AAC – Academic Affairs Council
AAC – Academic Affairs Council
When it comes to your academic experience, the Academic Affairs Council (AAC) is here to support you. This student-led board represents your voice in academic matters, from curriculum decisions to course feedback and exchange opportunities. If you’re ever unsure about your study plan, have concerns about a class, or want to suggest improvements, AAC is your go-to. It’s also a space to get involved in deeper conversations about how education at UCR evolves. Joining AAC means standing up for what matters in your learning, and helping shape the future for students after you.

Then there’s HAC, the Housing Affairs Council, which focuses on making life in student housing as smooth and enjoyable as possible. From room allocation and facilities to the social atmosphere in your residence, HAC works closely with students and staff to make sure housing remains comfortable, fair, and community-oriented. If you care about shared living, mutual respect, and student well-being, HAC is where your impact begins.
These boards are more than just functional—they’re formative. They give you space to lead, to collaborate, and to build something real with others. And whether you’re in a board role or simply attending events, they’re a big part of what makes UCR so active, open, and student-led.
