Bringing Leadership and Organizational Psychology to Life
Bringing Leadership and Organizational Psychology to Life
Students recently had the opportunity to take part in two inspiring sessions that connected academic learning with professional practice.
As part of the Personal Leadership course taught by Dr. SneΕΎana Stupar-Rutenfrans, students participated in an interactive leadership workshop led by Anne-Mieke Minderhoud, an experienced leadership development professional. Through reflection, discussion, and hands-on team activities, students explored key leadership questions such as what makes an effective leader, the relationship between leadership and formal authority, and the importance of adapting one’s leadership approach to different situations and people.
In addition, students in the Psychology of Organizations course attended a guest lecture by Dr. Rawan Ghazzawi from Tilburg University on the topic of job crafting. The session introduced students to ways individuals can proactively shape their work roles and sparked discussions about the relevance of job crafting for cross-cultural research, workplace well-being, and future careers.
Both sessions offered valuable opportunities for students to engage with experts from academia and practice, bringing course concepts to life through real-world insights and experiences.
Many thanks to Anne-Mieke Minderhoud and Dr. Rawan Ghazzawi for their inspiring contributions to our students’ learning experience.
