University College Roosevelt is pleased to share that Professor Ger Rijkers has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the international peer-reviewed journal Vaccines, published by MDPI.
Vaccines, founded in 2013, is an open access journal dedicated to laboratory and clinical vaccine research, immunization, and vaccine policy . The journal publishes research articles, reviews, and case reports across a broad spectrum of topics, including immunological mechanisms, vaccine development and evaluation, immune responses to vaccines, and regulatory and public health aspects .
The journal has an Impact Factor of 3.4 and a CiteScore of 9.9, and is indexed in major international databases including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science , reflecting its strong academic standing in the field of medicine and immunology.
In his message as Editor-in-Chief, Professor Rijkers highlights the importance of advancing knowledge on vaccines and vaccination in a rapidly changing global context, including shifting public attitudes and the impact of climate change on infectious diseases.
