About me
About me
Female, Polish-Dutch national, and what’s no less important, a Literature scholar with a broad range of interests in this field — life narrative, travel, critical theory, children’s literature, critical theory, intermediality, all of which reflected in my teaching at UCR.
When I’m not teaching, you can find me planning another museum visit, reading about the most social of arts (guess which?), practising yoga, studying historical cookbooks, or trying to reread my favourite children’s books in French…
I firmly believe reading makes a difference — if it doesn’t make you a better person, it at least makes you a better conversation partner.
Current Work
Current Work
My current reading and work focuses on life narrative and representations of self in nonfiction across cultural and historical divides, Polish and ECE literature and identity in a comparative perspective, intermediality and various links between literary and film narrative, and critical theory.
