About me
About me
I currently coordinate the Health, Cognition, and Behavior cluster, where I work to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth. Previously, I served as Head of the Social Science department at UCR, chaired the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee, and led the Program Committee — roles that deepened my commitment to fostering inclusive, innovative academic environments.
In the classroom, I teach courses ranging from Personal Leadership and The Psychology of Organizations to Abnormal Psychology, Leadership and Diversity Management, and advanced topics in research methodology and statistics. My goal is not only to share knowledge, but to ignite a passion for learning that students carry beyond the university walls.
Beyond teaching, I mentor undergraduate researchers through academic and research assistantships, guiding them as they develop their skills, discover their strengths, and make meaningful contributions to their fields. For me, education is about empowering the next generation to lead with insight, integrity, and impact.

My research focuses on emotion regulation and mental health in diverse minority groups, conducted collaboratively with students and through international cross-cultural projects. We strive to publish together, promoting inclusiveness, social connection, and knowledge dissemination.
