University College Roosevelt is proud to call one of Middelburg’s most iconic buildings home: the former city hall at Lange Noordstraat 1. We feel fortunate to work in such a space every day—and we believe it shouldn’t be reserved for us alone. That’s why UCR welcomes individuals, organizations, and institutions to make use of our unique venues for events, conferences, and special occasions.

UCR offers a selection of rooms and halls across three buildings: Franklin (the former city hall), Eleanor, and Anne. All are located in the city center of Middelburg, just a short walk from the train station, public parking, shops, and restaurants.

Our rooms range from stately to intimate—from the ceremonial grandeur of the Burgerzaal to the quiet elegance of smaller meeting spaces. Whether you’re hosting a symposium, a strategic workshop, a public lecture, or a festive gathering, there’s a space to match your vision*.

We offer transparent pricing with flexibility depending on room size, duration, and services required. Quotes will always include the following:

• Room rate per half-day
• Cleaning
• Catering (if requested)
• Audio-Visual (AV) setup (if requested)
• Security (if needed)
• Parking (if possible)

All prices exclude VAT and include basic setup. Breakout packages and multi-room discounts are available upon request.

Moreover, special rates are available for:

• Educational institutions
• Local or regional government bodies
• UCR’s partners and collaborators (If your organization is formally connected or already working in partnership with UCR)

Hosting your event at UCR includes more than just a room:

• Room setup (chairs, tables, basic AV) tailored to your event needs.
• Use of historic spaces that add character and depth to your gathering.
• Support staff on site to assist with logistics and access.
• Optional extras such as projection equipment, microphones, smartboards, flip charts, and signage.
• Basic in-house catering or (in some rooms) catering recommendations through trusted local providers.
• Access to outdoor areas like the Anne Garden, if desired.
• Private parking, if requested and available at the time of the event.
